“John grew up in a working-class family on a catholic housing estate in Northern Ireland just as ‘The Troubles’ were winding down. In the show he describes the lessons his Dad taught him to get through the conflict – how to deal with people pointing guns at you, dealing with your school getting bombed, getting through a police interrogation without telling them anything… Jenna had a much different upbringing. She grew up in Bahrain, the daughter of a Geordie mother and with an Arab Dad…”
What we say…
This is quite rare – a stand up show love story. Jenna is a Muslim and John is a Catholic. Can they find a future?
