Classically trained musicians, Marnina Schon and Micah O’Konis are just married, as we join them on their honeymoon, here in the Assembly Rooms, the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town.
Guitar and fiddle in hand and through song, we learn that the couple are not as conventional as one might first assume.
The folk-pop anthem and stand out tune of the night, ‘People Think We’re Straight’ tells the story of the marriage. They are a real-life couple, but they are genderqueer.
With energy and commitment, the likeable duo deliver a fun show that will charm, rather than challenge you. It’s a positive hour of very pleasant teatime entertainment.
