Hannah Byczkowski delivers a straight stand-up set that has her entire capacity audience rolling around in laughter for fifty-five minutes.

Most comedians need some sort of hook or storyline to keep a crowd onboard for an entire show. Hannah does it with jokes. There are some beautify well drawn recurring characters that pop up every now and again, and loose themes around death (thus the title), do emerge from time to time, but the punchline is queen here.

The show’s advance blurb goes on about The Traitors, the BBC1 show that Hannah won back in its first season. But Claudia and co don’t get a mention except for a throw away line “I’ve done a bit of telly.” Whether this is down to TV contracts or because Hannah has simply moved on, who knows? Frankly, she doesn’t need it.

Hannah delivers a gag heavy laughter fest. She’s really bloody good.
