This is a show about a native New Yorker, Meka Mo, travelling the globe, “… because our country is a little fucked up.”
We embark on a world tour of international dating etiquette and wider cultural differences.
Meka is a great storyteller, I learned a lot about the people India and Japan, but she describes her own home less well. Meka contrasts international norms with how things are done in New York City as if she is talking to a room full of Americans. And I have no idea what men from Idaho are like and why Japanese women shouldn’t date them. A little more context would go a long way.
I was on board with stuff I did understand. A routine on bullying and Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg was insightful and hilarious. Her take on the weight loss drug Ozempic was original, thought provoking and very funny too.
