“I’m Finlay, I have rich parents”

An unusual opening line. Finlay says that he has no money worries so, even if he turns out to be a rubbish comedian, “I can just keep doing it anyway.” He says that he doesn’t hold any trauma, no baggage. Just jokes.

Finlay’s privileged position relative to his comedy peers may have played a part in his success. But he’s no Jacob Rees-Mogg. He’s very funny, relatable and probably shares more values with his audience that he does with his elite peers. He is self-aware.

He’s an observational, storytelling comedian with a very high gag rate. Extremely funny.
