Jacob Nussey: Primed - On The Mic

Jacob Nussey: Primed ★★★

This Review is from August 2025

In Jacob Nussey: Primed, Mansfield’s own spills the secrets of working in an Amazon warehouse. The deadpan comedian unpacks the absurdities and chaos of warehouse life, exploring preconceptions, job interviews, stealing, and why things could always be worse.

The show explores the realities of minimum wage work while tackling issues around working class aspiration, workplace incentives and wealth gaps.

Occasionally, the delivery gets so deadpan, the energy starts to escape the room. This style of comedy is difficult to maintain for an entire hour, especially without a strong show long story for the audience to latch on to. But the jokes are brilliant and bloody hilarious, and so he mostly gets away with it.
