Accomplished actor, filmmaker and footballer, Sapphire McIntosh, shares her life story. Rescued from homelessness by a state that seemed, at the time, to care, and by her ability to play football, she has since accomplished a great deal.

Squeaky Bum Time is a breezy ride through the performer’s life as she tackles her obstacles and achieves her goals.

Maybe some of the routines could do with a little more focus. Potentially fascinating stories would occasionally be cut short as the performer meandered on to other topics. Sometimes less is not more. And perhaps a few of the jokes were missing a strong punchline. However, there’s still plenty to enjoy in this warm, life affirming and funny show.

Sapphire McIntosh is one to watch. A promising debut, with much more to come.
