Silky in ‘No, YOU’RE Poster Syndrome’ - On The Mic

Silky in ‘No, YOU’RE Poster Syndrome’ ★★★★

This Review is from August 2026

Comedians have their own favourite comedians. Step forward, Paul ‘Silky’ White. Nobody can work out why he’s not more famous.

This his tenth Fringe spanning over thirty-one years.

The show is about impostor syndrome, thus the pun in the title. Though apparently, it’s not a syndrome at all. This is a very well written joke heavy hour.

Silky tells us that there is a five-foot-high portrait of him that appears in The Lescar, a Sheffield comedy club, alongside a large mirror and a portrait of Ross Noble. He takes us on a comedic journey as he tries to figure out why its there.

Silky is self-deprecating, gentle and very funny. He’s quick witted and original. And no impostor.
