You already know Alan Davies. He has one of the most recognisable faces on British television. Known for his performance as the hero of David Renwick’s popular, long-running TV series Jonathan Creek (BBC), and as a permanent panellist on QI (BBC). His talk show for comedy nerds like me, Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled (DAVE), recently reached its seventh season.
His stand up is polished, accomplished and at times, surprisingly challenging. Not all of Alan’s life has been a bed of roses and among the lovely family stories, some darker, very dark times are explored. Only a comedian this good can pull this off.
This is a stand-up set from an accomplished professional comedian. The Declan Rice of stand-up comedy. Yes, I did have to Google that.
Alan Davies is interviewed on Episode 4 of the On the Mic: Five a Day podcast
