Andrew Doherty’s 2024 solo Fringe debut, the Wicker Man inspired, Gay Witch Sex Cult, was a huge hit, and practically invented a new genre of dark horror comedy. The 2025 follow up, Sad Gay AIDS Play, more than matched the success of the first. Except that one critic only granted it three stars. “One of the top three worst scores you can give.”

In, Reviewers Welcome… TO DIE! Andrew plays Felix Chatelier – a hapless critic who has been invited to be the head reviewer at a new fringe festival, in a small village in Loughborough.

What follows is a very funny tongue in cheek revenge fantasy. The show will be adored by performers, but you don’t need to be a theatre industry insider to enjoy this intelligent horror romp.
