Juliet Cowan

Juliet is a comedian, writer and actor based in the UK.

She was a So, You Think You’re Funny finalist in 1999, but she made her solo Edinburgh Festival Fringe stand up comedy debut twenty-five years later.

Juliet has acted in several movies and TV shows, including the role of Nicki in This Life (BBC) and Amy’s mother in the Amy Winehouse biopic, Back to Black (StudioCanal) (2024).

In 2019 she wrote the ground-breaking play, Mum, about dementia. The play was put on hold due to the Covid lockdown, but a new version may resurface soon.
