Please tell me about your 2022 Edinburgh Festival Fringe show,

My show is about bi-visibility and whether or not we can prove anything. The show runs through both my story of realizing I was bisexual late in life, alongside the story of a sexual orientation scientist, who is trying to show bisexuality exists.

What is the attraction of performing at the Edinburgh Fringe? What do you think of Edinburgh?

Edinburgh is the most beautiful city in the UK (in my opinion). I love it in and out of the festival. But during the festival, its packed with all my performer friends, comedy fans, and an undeniable energy. On top of that, performing at the Fringe is fun. I love being onstage, and for August, I get at least 3 gigs a day. Of course it is emotionally draining, I will cry a few times, but all for the joy of being on stage, right?

Who inspires you?

All of the people who can stay calm, haha.

Comedically, Robin Ince, Sara Pascoe, Desiree Burch, Seann Walsh.

Are there other shows you want to check out during the Fringe? What are they?

Esther Manito, George Zach, Thanyia Moore

Also, some circus. I LOVE circus.

Finally, ask and answer a question of your own: What is your style on stage?

I’m a lot. In fact, from a review right before the Fringe, I think this sums me up perfectly:

“Perkins is an American, she says the kind of American we British think is “too much”. You can see why, she is a loud and powerful presence commanding the attention of the room, but she’s definitely funny.”
