Please tell me about your 2022 Edinburgh Festival Fringe show.

It is a character comedy piece where I play a fallen Oxford Professor of English literature, Richard “Dick” Handler, who has been demoted to teaching this summer course on wanking slang.  I play it straight, if a little unhinged.

What do you think of Edinburgh?

Oh man, I have been coming to the Fringe for 21 years now.  If you are a theatre/comedy/performing arts geek – guilty as charged – there is nothing like it on earth,

Who inspires you?

Robin Williams is a big inspiration, as is one of his colleagues Paul Provenza.

Are there other shows you want to check out during the Fringe?

Yes, many – Queen of Fishtown, REDEEMer, I’m With Stupid, Ian McKellen’s Hamlet, We Are Traffic: An Uber Adventure, The Return of Sherlock Holmes, Activities of Daily Living, Grandma’s Closet (full disclosure, with the exception of Sir Ian, I am involved in producing these shows and/or friends with the performers).

Finally, ask and answer a question of your own.

Does masturbation cause blindness?
