Please tell me about your 2022 Edinburgh Festival Fringe show,

It’s an hour of autobiographical stand up about the two or 3 things that have happened to me since my last Fringe show of greatest narrative interest. It’s nominally on the theme of loss and acceptance and just trying to have a laugh in spite of the world being essentially sheer bleak chaos. It’s not sad though, it’s got hundreds of jokes and I think it’s a good show where I’m vulnerable and honest without sacrificing laughs. I like it, I hope other people do too.

What do you think of Edinburgh?

I used to go to the Fringe and watch shows when I was in high school and I’ve always  aspired to be the kind of comic people seek out to see a full Fringe show from. I’ve got old-fashioned Romantic ideas about the whole thing. Still blows my mind that I used to go and watch shows and now I’m doing them myself. The attraction is being a part of that tradition and being able to do things on stage you might not be able to any other time of the year. Edinburgh as a city, I love. It doesn’t need a poster quote from me, it’s doing alright.

Who inspires you?

Joe Wicks & Ghandi.

Are there other shows you want to check out during the Fringe? What are they?

I’m just gonna park my fat ass at Monkey Barrel and see what’s going on. Hopefully get the staff bar discount code early doors, make a nuisance of myself.

Finally, ask and answer a question of your own.

Q: Do you think it’s all gonna be okay?

A: probs not lol
